Dacian gold: The helmet from Coțofenești is the image of a new issue of postage stamps from Romfilateliatranslated

Romfilatelia and Poșta Română have launched the issue of postage stamps "Gold of the Dacians. Reuniting the historical treasure", dedicated to the Coif from Coțofenești, one of the most valuable pieces of the national heritage.

The philatelic series, put into circulation on July 28, includes a postage stamp, a lace slip, a maximum postcard, a "Prima zi" envelope and a limited edition map. The graphics were made by the artist Mircea Cantor.

The package of the show reproduces the real images of the Coif from Coțofenești and the two Dacian bracelets in the heritage of the National History Museum of Romania, which were stolen in January 2025 from the Drents Museum in Assen, Holland.

The artifacts returned to the country in early April 2026 after being recovered by Dutch authorities.
