Mosaic workshop in Deva: Participants learn the technique alongside the students of the Faculty of Theology in Alba Iuliatranslated

The Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara organizes, between September 15-25, the mosaic workshop "TESSERAE VITAE - From a single source".

The participants have the opportunity to practically learn the ancient mosaic technique with 12 students from the Sacred Art section of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Alba Iulia - the only educational institution in the country where this technique is taught.

Under the coordination of lect. university Dr. Cătălin Băluț and with the support of Cristina Oneț, project director, the participants will create a compositional ensemble of monumental art together.

The project has an open character, so that, alongside the students in practice, there are two nuns, residents of the Hunedoren Măgura monastery, as well as people close to the Church, eager to discover and deepen the secrets of mosaic art.

The workshop is organized in partnership with the BASM Cultural Association and the Sacred Art Section of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the "1 Decembrie 1918" University in Alba Iulia.
