Simple gestures, made from the heart, can change the beginning of a school year and bring light into children's souls. On the eve of the new school year, with the blessing of His Holiness Dr. Irineu, the Archbishop of Craiova and the Metropolitan of Oltenia, the Vasiliada Association carried out the "I have a schoolbag! I'm going to school" Campaign. Several children from Godeni Parish, Melinești commune, Sopot commune, Seaca de Pădure and Craiova received schoolbags prepared with care and love, filled with the necessary supplies for school, and at the beginning of the week, schoolbags will also be distributed in the towns of Botoșești - Paia and Bratovoești.

But beyond the supplies, these backpacks carried with them something much more important: care for the children, solidarity and the desire to tell them that they are not alone and that people are thinking of them. The gifts were offered through the generosity and involvement of the Parish of Sfântul Gheorghe Vechi - Rev. Târlea Bogdan Constantin - Parish Priest, the Parish of Gherceștii Noi - Rev.
