Arrival of Archbishop Makarios of Australia in Adelaide

Archbishop Makarios of Australia is undertaking a pastoral visit to Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. The principal purpose of His Eminence’s visit is to attend and bless the celebratory dinner of the Parish–Community of the Nativity of Christ in Port Adelaide, organised to commemorate the 65th anniversary of its establishment.

His Eminence arrived in the “City of Churches” at midday on Saturday, 7 November, and was warmly welcomed at Adelaide Airport by Bishop Silouan of Adelaide, the clergy of the local Holy Diocese, and numerous faithful of all ages, who expressed their filial love and profound respect towards their Chief Shepherd.
