On the day of remembrance of the holy unmercenaries and martyrs Cosmas and Damian of Asia, who show us a marvelous example of Christian love and selfless service to others, a festive service was held in the Church of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in the city of Gomel. On July 14, 2026, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin. For this parish, the holiday is patronal - the crypt church of the parish is consecrated in honor of the holy brother doctors.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the dean of the Gomel district, Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky, the dean of the monasteries of the Gomel diocese, Hegumen Theodorit (Zolotarev), the chairman of the historical commission, Archpriest Alexander Lopushansky, the chairman of the church court, Priest Sergius Klimov, the rector of the parish, Archpriest Vladimir Sulimov, and the clergy of the diocese.

The service brought together many parishioners under the arches of the church who came to honor the memory of the patron saints. During the Divine Liturgy, intense prayer requests for the restoration of the world were offered. On this holiday, many believers were honored to partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
