Archpastoral visit to the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery in ag. Khmelevo, Zhabinkovsky districttranslated

On August 19, 2026, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Monastery in Ag. Khmelevo, Zhabinkovsky district on the occasion of the patronal holiday.
Concelebrating with His Eminence were: the abbot of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery in ag. Khmelevo, Zhabinkovsky district, Archimandrite Seraphim (Petruchik), as well as clergy of the monastery.
The diaconal rank was headed by the cleric of the Cathedral of St. Simeon the Stylite in Brest, Deacon John Shkulepa.
After the special litany, Archbishop John offered a prayer for the restoration of peace.
The monastery choir performed the liturgical chants.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a solemn procession of the Cross was held around the monastery with the miraculous copy of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God, kept in the monastery. Then Archbishop John, according to tradition, performed the Rite of Blessing of fruits and grapes brought to the church by believers.
At the end of the service, the archpastor addressed the worshipers with a word of edification, congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the patronal feast day, and the communicants on the reception of the Holy Body and Blood...
