Archpastoral visit to the parish of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Bereza [UPDATED]translated

On September 10, 2026, on the day of remembrance of the Venerable Job of Pochaev, Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Bereza on the occasion of the 40th day after the death of Archpriest Georgy Shevtsov, dean of the Berezovsky Church District and rector of the parish of this church.

His Eminence was served by: the secretary of the Brest diocesan administration, the dean of the churches of the Zhabinka district, the rector of the Church of St. Cyril of Turov in the city of Zhabinka, Archpriest Sergius Petrusevich; dean of the churches of the Berezovsky district, rector of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the city of Bereza, Archpriest Georgy Nemshon; priest Pavel Shevtsov, rector of the parish of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Bereza; clergy of the Berezovsky deanery.

The diaconal rank was headed by the cleric of the Cathedral of St. Simeon the Stylite in Brest, Deacon John Shkulepa.

Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Bereza.

After the special litany, Archbishop John offered a prayer for the restoration of peace.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the archpastor addressed the worshipers with a word of edification.
