Prikhody.ru 02.11.2026. Bishop Feofan of Volga and Sernur visited the Beryozka kindergarten and the Solnyshko kindergarten to meet with the management and staff of these preschool institutions in Mari-Turek (Mari El). The visit became possible thanks to the previously signed Cooperation Agreement between the Volga diocese and the Mari-Turek municipal district.

In the “Beryozka” kindergarten, the guests were met by the head of the school, Anzhelika Nikolaevna Vinogradova, along with teachers and children, and in the “Solnyshko” kindergarten, also with teachers and children, by the head of Natalya Leonidova Polovnikova. In a conversation with them, Bishop Feofan spoke about the need for the spiritual education of young children, reports the public “Volzhsky Blagovest”.

“By laying a spiritual foundation in every child’s heart with our own good example in life, with a kind word, we are doing the godly work of spiritual education of the future generation, which will then grow up over the years and will inhabit our Holy Rus',” the archpastor noted.

Books of Orthodox content presented for children were presented to kindergartens: “The Miracles of St. Seraphim of Sarov” and “The Life of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara.”
