Bishop's service in the Assumption Cathedral in Kolomna 07/07/2026translated

July 7, 2026 · 1 min read

On July 7, 2026, on the feast of the Nativity of the honest, glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna led the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Kolomna.

His Eminence was served by: the secretary of the Kolomna diocesan administration, Priest Andrei Zgonnikov and the clergy of the cathedral.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the cathedral choir under the direction of Natalya Kamyshnikova.

After the special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Rus'.

During the service, Metropolitan Pavel ordained a 4th year student at the Kolomna Theological Seminary, reader Alexander Prisyazhnyuk, as a deacon.

The sermon on the sacramental verse was delivered by Priest Mikhail Kazykhanov.

At the end of the liturgy, glorification was performed, after which Metropolitan Paul addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word.

It was joyful to read about the ordination of Aleksandr Prisyazhniuk, he was already from the fourth course of our seminary. Interestingly, in what church will the deacon serve now? And Father Mihail Kazykhanov's sermon, they say, always works.

I read it calmly. It's good that Aleksandr Prisyazhnjuk was ordained a deacon, we know him from the seminary. My question is the same as Catherine's - which church will she serve in now?

It's good that they mentioned the ordination of Alexander Prysiazhniuk from the fourth year. Now as a deacon, I wonder where he will be appointed in Kolomna. Father Michael's sermon is always to the point, as Katya says.

Yes, I also noticed that they highlighted the ordination of Alexander Prisyaznyuk from the fourth course. It is interesting where he will be appointed as a deacon, perhaps in one of the Kolomna churches. Father Mihailo's sermon is really always short and clear, I like that.

Yes, I read it calmly too. We all know Alexander from the seminary, he was calm and dedicated. As for the church, I don't know yet - maybe they will tell us soon in the group, or did you hear any word?

Yes, I read it calmly too. I'm glad for Alexander, he was one of those students who didn't talk much but did his work with dedication. I haven't heard yet where he will be serving, but maybe he will be assigned to a smaller church first – any thoughts?

Yes, I read it calmly too. I was very happy that Alexander was ordained, I remember him as a quiet boy from the seminary. I don't know about the church yet, but maybe they will assign it in nearby Kolomna, have you heard anything from the seminary people?
