Archiepiscopal Divine Liturgy on the Seventeenth Week after Pentecost, the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christtranslated

On September 27, 2026, in the Seventeenth Week after Pentecost, the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Archbishop of Brest and Kobrin Ioann celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the cathedral church of St. Simeon the Pillar-Wearer in Brest.

His Eminence was assisted by priests Sergius Mukhin and Andrei Khantsevich. The diaconal service was led by deacon John Boksha, a clergyman of the cathedral church of St. Simeon the Pillar-Wearer in Brest.

After the Great Postcommunion Prayer, Archbishop Ioann raised a prayer for the restoration of peace.

The liturgical singing was performed by the archiepiscopal choir of the cathedral church.

The sermon after the reading of the Gospel was delivered by priest Sergius Mukhin.

Following the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Ioann addressed the faithful with a word of exhortation on the theme of the day's Gospel reading.
