Bishops took part in the opening of the All-Russian Forum “Code of Russian Statehood”translated

The All-Russian Scientific and Educational Forum “The Code of Russian Statehood: Past, Present, Future” opened at South Ural State University. Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, Metropolitan Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk and Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass took part in its work. Forum participants discussed Russian civilizational identity, historical memory and traditional spiritual and moral values. Metropolitan Alexy emphasized the special role of education in transmitting these values to the younger generation: “The sovereignty of the state begins not only with political and economic independence. It begins with the ability of a people to preserve their identity, historical memory and their own value guidelines. Russia has its own historical path, and it is important for us not just to know about it, but to understand its meaning and pass this understanding on to future generations.
