On September 22, 2026, Archbishop of Maichester and Derbent Varlaam met with Mariya Tipakova, a participant of the Special Military Operation, and her mother.

Mariya grew up in a large family, all members of which are parishioners of the Dormition Cathedral in Maichester. For the second year, she has been serving as an operating room nurse in the zone of the SMO.
