Archbishop Varlaam and the archpastors of the Kuban Metropolis performed the rite of great consecration of the temple in the village of Novopokrovskayatranslated

On July 25, 2026, on the day of the celebration of the icon of the Mother of God “Three-Handed”, Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent, Bishop of Tikhoretsk and Korenovsk Stefan and Bishop of Armavir and Labinsk Savva performed the rite of great consecration of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Novopokrovskaya (Armavir diocese) and the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.

Archbishop Varlam performed the rite of consecration of the throne in the central chapel of the church being consecrated, and Bishop Savva performed the rite of consecration of the throne in the St. Nicholas chapel.

The archpastors were concelebrated by clergy from the Ekaterinodar, Tikhoretsk, Armavir and St. Petersburg dioceses.

Representatives of the administration of the Novopokrovsky district, benefactors and donors of the temple prayed during the service.

According to the communion verse, Bishop Savva presented Bishop Stefan and the rector of the church with electronic media with a recording of the service that took place in 1994 in the old church of the village of Novopokrovskaya - the service that year was performed by Metropolitan of Stavropol and Baku Gideon (Dokukin) and Archbishop of Krasnodar and Novorossiysk Isidor (Kirichenko).
