Archbishop Stefan met with the head of the Investigative Committee for the Gomel Regiontranslated

On November 2, 2026, at the Gomel diocesan administration, a meeting was held between Archbishop Stefan of Gomel and Zhlobin with the head of the Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Gomel Region, Maxim Vladimirovich Sprintsin, and the rector of the parish of the Church of the Skitkovskaya Icon of the Mother of God in Gomel, Archpriest Maxim Kolevatov.

During the meeting, Archbishop Stefan congratulated Archpriest Maxim Kolevatov on his birthday and wished him God's help in his pastoral service and strength of mental and physical strength.

Maxim Vladimirovich thanked Archbishop Stefan for the cooperation of the Gomel diocese and the regional department of the Investigative Committee and presented Archpriest Maxim Kolevatov with a certificate for his significant contribution to the development and improvement of the activities of the Investigative Committee.

Then Archbishop Stefan introduced the guest to the activities of the Gomel diocese. The Bishop gave a tour of the diocesan administration, the house church in honor of the Cathedral of Belarusian Saints and the restoration workshop, where work is being done to preserve items of church and historical and cultural heritage.
