Archbishop Stefan met with the head of the Gomel regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situationstranslated

On October 22, 2026, at the Gomel diocesan administration, a working meeting was held between His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, with the head of the Gomel regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, Colonel of the Internal Service Vitaly Vyacheslavovich Bokun.

During the meeting, issues of interaction between the Gomel diocese and the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were discussed, as well as possible areas for further cooperation. Special attention was paid to security issues in churches and parish buildings.

Also, Vitaly Vyacheslavovich was given a tour of the diocesan administration and told about the history of the Gomel diocese, its activities and main areas of service.
