La 19 iulie 2026, Înaltpreasfințitul Ștefan, Arhiepiscopul Gomelului și Zhlobinului, a săvârșit o slujbă de seară la Catedrala Sf. Petru și Pavel din orașul Gomel.

Înaltpreasfințitul Sa a fost slujit de clerul catedralei. În timpul slujbei, acatistul a fost citit cântând.

Clerul și enoriașii au făcut rugăciuni împreună, cerând ajutor Domnului, întărindu-se în credință și binecuvântări pentru săptămâna următoare.

I agree, the sung akathist does lift the whole service. Our choir here in Sydney does it that way on Wednesdays and it always feels less like reading and more like everyone’s actually praying together. Did you manage to attend the service in Gomel?
