Le 19 juillet 2026, Son Éminence Stefan, archevêque de Gomel et Jlobine, a célébré un service du soir à la cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Paul de la ville de Gomel.

Son Éminence était servie par le clergé de la cathédrale. Pendant le service, l'akathiste était lu en chant.

Le clergé et les paroissiens ont offert des prières ensemble, demandant au Seigneur de l'aide, du renforcement dans la foi et des bénédictions pour la semaine à venir.

I agree, the sung akathist does lift the whole service. Our choir here in Sydney does it that way on Wednesdays and it always feels less like reading and more like everyone’s actually praying together. Did you manage to attend the service in Gomel?
