Archbishop Stefan took part in the XII Intercession readings in Dobrushtranslated

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, took part in the XII regional Intercession educational readings, which took place on October 24, 2026 in the small hall of the Dobrush regional palace of culture. The theme of the conference is “Christian teaching about man and the challenges of modern technologies.”

The readings brought together the clergy, heads of educational institutions, specialists in spiritual and moral education, social educators and educational psychologists.

After the prayer “To the Heavenly King,” Archbishop Stefan addressed the audience with an opening speech. The Bishop noted that technology helps in study and communication, but cannot replace a person’s moral choice, responsibility, truthfulness, ability to empathize and love one’s neighbor. The archpastor emphasized that education should be based on an understanding of the dignity of man as a bearer of the image of God.

The participants were also greeted by the head of the education department of the Dobrush district executive committee, Inna Sergeevna Khnykova.
