Archbishop Stefan took part in the ceremony of taking the Oath by students of the Lyceum of the Ministry of Emergency Situationstranslated

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, visited the Specialized Lyceum at the University of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus on October 29, 2026, where a solemn ceremony of taking the Oath by students of the main and additional classes of 2026 took place.

Before the ceremony, Archbishop Stefan performed the rite of consecration of the prayer room at the lyceum. The new prayer space is designed to become a place where students and staff can turn to God in prayer and find spiritual support.

The main event of the celebration was the taking of the Oath by the students. The Lyceum personnel sealed it with a threefold “We swear!” After this, the guests of honor presented the students with a “Parting address to the Lyceum student.”
