Archbishop Stefan took part in the solemn meeting for the Day of National Unitytranslated

On September 16, 2026, a ceremonial meeting and concert dedicated to National Unity Day took place at the Gomel Social and Cultural Center. The event was attended by His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin.

Among the participants were Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko, Assistant to the President - Inspector for the Gomel Region Yuri Valevaty, member of the Council of the Republic, Chairman of the Gomel Regional Council of Deputies Ekaterina Zenkevich.

In the Red Hall of the center thematic exhibitions “Thread of Generations” and “In the unity of people is the power of development!”, dedicated to the cohesion of the Belarusian people and the continuity of generations, were presented.

Addressing the audience, Ivan Krupko noted that the sustainable development of the state begins with internal harmony in society. The head of the region emphasized that unity comes from everyday activities: caring for children and the older generation, willingness to help others, conscientious work and respect for others. Shared responsibility for their home country and its future unites people of different professions, interests and life experiences.
