Archbishop Stefan took part in the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian Red Crosstranslated

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, took part in a solemn event dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian Red Cross. The meeting took place on September 25, 2026 in the White Living Room of the Rumyantsev and Paskevich Palace in Gomel.

Addressing the organization’s employees and volunteers, the archpastor congratulated them on their anniversary and reminded them of the biblical call to care for their neighbors, to live not only for themselves, but also for the sake of those who need help. The Bishop thanked those gathered for their work and concern and presented the activists with bishop’s certificates.

Representatives of the regional authorities, clergy, Red Cross veterans and youth took part in the celebration. Congratulations were made by the Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aleinikov and the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Organization of the Belarusian Red Cross, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Alla Smolyak. Employees and volunteers were presented with flowers and certificates of honor.
