Archbishop Stefan took part in a regional event dedicated to Mother's Daytranslated

On October 14, 2026, an event dedicated to Mother’s Day and the beginning of the Week of Parental Love was held at the Gomel Regional Philharmonic. His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, took part in the celebration.

The festive meeting brought together parents with many children, families who have achieved significant success in raising children, representatives of government bodies, the clergy and public organizations.

The central event of the event was the presentation of the Order of the Mother to women raising five or more children. 17 mothers with many children were awarded the state award of the Republic of Belarus. The orders were presented to the women by the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Ivan Krupko.

Archbishop Stefan congratulated the women on Mother's Day and the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, expressing words of gratitude for their maternal work, caring for children and preserving family values.

On this day, other families of the Gomel region were also honored. Awards were received by five families - winners of the regional online competition of family initiatives, as well as parents whose children became champions, winners of Olympiads and laureates of creative competitions.
