July 10, Friday of the 6th week after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of St. Ambrose of Optina, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed an akathist in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ before the locally revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos “Seeking the Lost” of Tiraspol. His Eminence was concelebrated by the clergy of the cathedral, as well as the clergy of the Central Deanery, Archpriest Stefan Ivolga, Priests Maxim Sergeev and Roman Gatcan. At the end of the akathist singing, His Eminence the Bishop, the clergy and pilgrims with one mouth sang the magnification of the Queen of Heaven and reverently bowed to Her holy image. After the service, the Ruling Bishop performed a proskomedia commemoration of the patrons, benefactors and the entire flock of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese, offering prayers for health, peace and salvation of the faithful children of the Holy Church.
