Archbishop Savva attended the opening of new halls of the State Museum of History and Local Loretranslated

On September 2, on the day of the celebration of the 36th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary took part in the opening of new halls of the State Historical and Local Lore Museum of Transnistria in Tiraspol. Among the new museum exhibitions was a hall dedicated to the history of Orthodoxy and the Old Believers on Transnistrian soil. During his visit to the museum complex, the Ruling Bishop got acquainted with the exhibition on display. Archbishop Savva was accompanied by the first assistant to the Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), the dean of the Central District, Archpriest Sergius Verbitsky, the cleric of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, Archpriest Georgy Skobil, and the Advisor to the Ruling Bishop on issues of culture and education, Nikolai Dymchenko.

Let us recall that earlier, on August 11, Archbishop Savva visited the building under construction of the State Historical and Local Lore Museum of Transnistria, where he got acquainted with the preparation of the hall dedicated to the history of Orthodoxy and the Russian Orthodox Church in Transnistria, and also discussed with the museum staff the concept of the future exhibition. Рада, що в новому залі окремо розповідають і про старообрядців, а не тільки про нашу Церкву. Цікаво, чи показали там ікони з наших храмів чи якісь документи з Дубоссар. Добре, що Владыка Савва ще в серпні встиг подивитися, як все готують.
