On September 8, 2026, at the Brest diocesan administration, a meeting was held between His Eminence John, Archbishop of Brest and Kobrin, with the head of the Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for the Brest region, Andrei Valentinovich Slobodenyuk, who was accompanied by the deputy head of the pre-trial detention center No. 7 of Brest, Sadko O.A.

The guests were given a tour of the diocesan administration and the house church in honor of the “Three-Handed” Icon of the Mother of God. Then there was a conversation between His Eminence and A.V. Slobodenyuk. Archbishop John congratulated him on his appointment and gave God’s blessing for every good deed, presenting icons of the Savior and the Most Holy Theotokos. The chairman of the department for prison ministry, Priest Nikifor Krachko, took part in the meeting.

Хвала Богу за овакве сусрете. Интересно је да је Слободенчук А. В. тек постављен, па је архиепископ Иоанн одмах честитао и дао иконе Спаситеља и Богородице. Добро је што је и отац Никифор Крачко био ту, јер се баш бави затворским служением.

Хвала, Стефане, баш сам приметила да је архиепископ Иоанн брзо реаговао на ново постављење. Отац Никифор Крачко је стварно прави човек за то, јер већ годинама обилази затворе и познаје људе тамо. Интересује ме како ће се развијати та сарадња у Бресту.
