Archbishop Irineu blessed the new chapel of a hospital in Alba-Iuliatranslated

His Holiness Father Irineu blessed the new chapel of the "Dr. Holhoș" Hospital in Alba-Iulia on Tuesday.

The place of worship dedicated to the "Saints Martyrs and Doctors without silver, Chir and John and Saint Pious Otilia", was set up in the vicinity of the hospital building.

The chapel was endowed with a new screen with icons, with objects necessary for divine worship, as well as with new furniture.

On the occasion of the consecration, Archbishop Irineu of Alba Iulia emphasized the spiritual importance of the new place of worship for the hospital's patients and staff.

The "Dr. Holhoș" hospital in the municipality of Alba Iulia was founded by Dr. Teodor Holhoș, the project of the new multidisciplinary hospital was started in 2017.

The blessing service of the "Dr. Holhoș" Hospital in Alba Iulia was performed by His Holiness Father Irineu on June 28, 2025.
