Archbishop of Zambia attended Saudi Arabia National Day Diplomatic reception in Lusaka

Archbishop Ioannis of Zambia and Mozambique attended a special diplomatic reception hosted by the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Zambia, where he joined Ali Saad Alkahtani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Zambia, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and distinguished guests in Lusaka to commemorate the Kingdom’s National Day.

Extending on behalf of Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, warm congratulations and prayers for peace, prosperity and continued progress to the Kingdom and its people.

The annual celebration, observed on 23 September, commemorates the historic unification of the Kingdom under King Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1932, marking the establishment of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In his message, Archbishop Ioannis conveyed his warmest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Ambassador Ali Saad Alkahtani, the Government and the people of Saudi Arabia.
