Archbishop of Albania visited the Church’s summer camps

On July 21 and 22, 2026, Archbishop Ioannis of Albania visited the summer camps for girls and boys organized by the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania, where he held a spiritual discussion with the participants.
The first and second camp sessions for girls are being held at the Monastery of St. John Vladimir near Elbasan, while the boys’ camp is hosted at the Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Zvërnec, Vlorë. Children and young people from all the Metropolises of the country are participating in the camps.
With the blessing of Archbishop Ioannis, the camps are organized and carried out through the dedicated efforts of clergy, Christian education teachers, and members of the Church’s youth groups.
The Church of Albania’s 30 years of experience organizing summer camps has enabled it to develop programs that foster participants’ spiritual, educational, and personal growth.
The camps’ programs and activities reflect the Orthodox Christian way of life, offering young people the opportunity to experience life as a journey with God.
