Archbishop of Albania calls for wise decisions and unity during Divine Liturgy in Tirana (VIDEO)

Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania called for wisdom, responsibility and unity during the Divine Liturgy celebrated at the Resurrection of Christ Cathedral in Tirana on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The service also included the ordination of Hierodeacon Johan.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Ioannis emphasized the importance of responsible decision-making for the benefit of the entire country.

“We pray that God will enlighten all those who bear responsibility for making decisions, so that they may make wise and mature choices in the service of the whole country,” he said.

The Archbishop stressed that Albania belongs to all its citizens and residents, who should have the opportunity to contribute to its development.

“Albania belongs to everyone. All those who live here are part of it, and everyone has the right to participate in building its future,” he stated.

Concluding his remarks, Archbishop Ioannis called for prayer and divine guidance for those entrusted with important decisions.
