Archbishop Issues Statement on 9/11 Anniversary

CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – Archbishop DANIEL of Chicago and the Midwest has issued a pastoral statement on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

In his message, the Archbishop recalls the horror of that day while reminding the faithful that darkness and evil are always overcome by light and goodness. He calls upon all to pray for those who lost their lives on 9/11, for those who continue to mourn, and for those who still bear the physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds of the attacks.

Archbishop DANIEL message further reminds us of our Christian calling to bring the light of Christ into a world darkened by sin.
