The Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin of the Polish Parish in Anderlecht, Brussels, with splendortranslated

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the feast of the Polish-speaking Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin, in the Anderlecht region, on the outskirts of Brussels, was celebrated with ecclesiastical magnificence and spiritual rapture.
The solemn Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Belgium, Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg Mr. Athenagoras, flanked by the priests of the Parish and other clergy, who participated in the festive assembly of God's people.
The polyphonic choir of the Parish gave the celebration a special splendor, creating an overwhelming and at the same time festive atmosphere. The participation of the faithful was particularly moving, as a large number of people came to celebrate the holiday, in the second celebration after the opening of the Church.
Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, and on the occasion of the Parish festival, the Service of Artoklasia was held, while afterwards the consecration of the new icon of the Holy Church took place.
