Amur and Kuban Cossacks discussed issues of preserving Orthodox traditions during a teleconferencetranslated

On June 19, as part of the interregional project “Connecting Times and Shores,” a teleconference took place between the village of Dinskaya, Krasnodar Territory, Blagoveshchensk and the village of Konstantinovka, Amur Region. The main topic of the meeting was the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Cossacks, the development of Orthodox traditions and the spiritual and moral education of youth.
The event participants were representatives of Cossack societies, educational institutions, authorities and public organizations of the Kuban and Amur region.
The Konstantinovsky district was represented by the director of the Amur Cossack College Sergei Kayukov, representatives of the Cossacks and educational institutions, as well as the head of the diocesan department for interaction with the Cossacks, Abbot Dionisy (Kolesnikov).
During the teleconference, the participants spoke on the topic “Cossacks in the service of Orthodoxy”, discussed the history of the Cossacks, their role in preserving spiritual and cultural traditions, as well as modern forms of work with youth.
