October 3, 2026 · 1 min read

Condac 1

The one who showed himself as the holy voice of the Word, teaching us virtuous deeds and illuminating the path to perfection, the wise teacher, let us honor him with reverence, believers, and let us all say to him: Rejoice, Holy Father Dumitru, wise interpreter of the Philokalia!

Icos 1

Spiritual water sprung from your lips through the Holy Spirit, Father Dumitru, watering those who were built from the earth with unbuilt grace. Therefore, we all, with faith and piety, cry something like these:

Rejoice, sprout of the right faith;

Rejoice, of righteous virtues;

Rejoice, pure vessel of the light of the Word;

Rejoice, voice crying in the wilderness of the earth;

Rejoice, head that wears the crowns of human creation;

Rejoice, mountain with heights in angelic borders;

Rejoice, that we know you of the King herald;

Rejoice, you who in knowledge announced Him in a worthy way;

Rejoice, luminary that shows the Sun;

Rejoice, lightning with the radiance of grace;

Rejoice, he through whom Christ is glorified;

Rejoice, the one through whom the enemy is destroyed;
