Acad. Ioan Aurel Pop held a conference in Zalău about the history and memory of the victims from Ip and Trezneatranslated

Academician Ioan-Aurel Pop held the "War with history" conference in Zalău on Friday, dedicated to the reflection on how the past is known and transmitted, on the occasion of the commemoration of the victims of the Ip and Treznea massacres.

The activity took place at the House of Culture of the Trade Unions and is part of the "History Files from Șara Silvaniei" program, an initiative through which important moments from local and national history are brought to the public's attention.

The event was organized by the Bishopric of Sălaj and the Sălaj County Council to mark 86 years since the tragic event in Ip and Treznea.

"The File de istorie project from Șara Silvaniei aims to know, assume and cultivate historical memory, as the foundation of our identity and unity", the representatives of the Sălaj County Council sent in a post on the Facebook page.
