The pilgrimage to the relics of Saint Demetrius the New, the Protector of Bucharest, began on Sunday at the Patriarchal Cathedral. "Honoring the saints is, in fact, honoring God's gift", emphasized Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
His Eminence urged the faithful to participate in the religious events organized on the occasion of the patron saint of the Patriarchal Cathedral: "We are waiting for you and we urge you to be with the saints and let us all hope that they will bring our prayers before God".
"We pray to these saints and all saints to be friends, helpers and close to those who honor them as they should," the hierarch said.
