The 2026 edition of ARC Camps has begun: Romanian children from the diaspora are invited to rediscover their national identitytranslated

The 2026 edition of the ARC Camps program was opened on Monday in Bucharest. During the summer, approximately 9,000 Romanian children and young people from the diaspora and historical communities will rediscover the Romanian national identity and traditions.

The official opening took place at the National Military Circle in Bucharest, in the presence of representatives of state institutions, the Romanian Patriarchate, diplomatic missions and Romanian communities outside the borders.

Bine că îi aduc pe copii home at least vara asta. 9000 de tineri e cifră mare, dar important e să simtă cu vărătă că România nu e doar o vacanță. Lavinia Arnauto a zis "acasă" - să vedem dăciu și children vor pleca cu sămăn cuvânt în cap.

La noi în parohie vin vara câteva familii din diaspora cu copii de 10-12 ani și văd cum după o săptămână de tabără ei tot întreabă „când mergem iar la bunici în sat”, nu doar poze cu steaguri. Să vedem dacă din cei 9000 vor rămâne măcar câțiva cu legătura vie dincolo de vacanță.
