The Service of the Council of the Holy Military Martyrs was publishedtranslated

The publishing house of the Biblical and Mission Institute of the Romanian Orthodox Church published the Service of the Council of the Holy Military Martyrs.

The book includes the liturgical ordinances specific to the celebration, the synaxar of the Council of Military Saints, and the songs dedicated to them.

The liturgical texts were approved by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church in the June meeting.

Among the saints mentioned during the council is the Holy Martyr Longhin the Centurion, witness of the Crucifixion of the Lord, as well as the great military martyrs honored throughout the Orthodox world. In total, there are 20 martyred military saints commemorated during this celebration.

According to the synaxar of the celebration, the Romanian Orthodox Church, which prays every day, at the holy services, for the Christ-loving army, entered the Council of the Military Martyrs in the Orthodox Calendar in the year 2026, so that on October 26, along with the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius, all the military Saints who suffered for the right faith will be honored.
