A new Romanian Orthodox mission was established in northern Francetranslated

With the blessing of His Holiness Father Joseph, Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe, a new Romanian Orthodox mission was established in the north of France, more specifically for the Romanians from the towns of Beauvais, Compiègne and Creil.
The liturgical activity will take place at the Church "Saint-Martin" in Lamécourt, near the city of Clermont-de-l'Oise, at Place de l'Église, 60600 Lamécourt.
The first Holy Liturgy was held on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
In the north of France there are still Orthodox parishes that are part of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe. These are in Lille – Roubaix, Amiens, Rouen, Le Havre, Caen and Reims.
In Brittany and western Normandy there are also communities, parishes or filii in Cherbourg, Alençon, Brest, Morlaix, Lamballe, Loudéac and Rennes. See here the complete list of parishes in France.
