September 8 - Natalia's Day: what needs to be done so that troubles bypass the housetranslated

On September 8, the church remembers the martyrs Adrian and Natalia, and in folk tradition this day is known as Natalya’s day or Natalya the fescue. As MediaStream writes, this name is associated with work in the oat fields, which the ancestors traditionally did in September. One of the traditions was cooking dishes from oatmeal. It was believed that on September 8 it is necessary to eat at least one such dish in order to get a rich harvest next year. On this day it was also customary to attend church and pray to Saint Natalia.

They asked the saint for marital happiness and prosperous relationships with relatives. Another custom was associated with rowan: on September 8, a branch was torn from the tree and brought into the house. According to popular beliefs, it was supposed to attract financial wealth and harmony. Helping loved ones and those in need was considered a good deed on this day.
