BRUSSELS, November 4, 2026 — The Orthodox Episcopal Assembly of Benelux met today in Brussels, at the seat of the Holy Metropolis of Belgium, for its 33rd session, under the presidency of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Belgium Mr. Athenagorou (Ecumenical Patriarch). The meeting was attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Isaac (Patriarch of Antioch), His Eminence Bishop Domentotovo Mr. Symeon (Archbishop of the Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe - Patriarch of Moscow), Most Reverend Bishop Neams Mr. Markos, representative of Rev. Metropolitan Mr. Joseph (Patriarch of Romania), His Eminence Bishop Mr. Dositheos (Patriarch of Georgia) and His Eminence Bishop of Apollonia Mr. Joachim, Assistant Bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan of Belgium Mr. Athenagoras (Ecumenical Patriarch).

Meeting in plenary under the chairmanship of its President, the Episcopal Assembly discussed major issues of the ecclesiastical current affairs, confirming its commitment to peace and solidarity.
