October 30 is the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Political Repression. Among the millions of victims throughout Russia are hundreds of thousands of Orthodox martyrs and confessors. With the blessing of Metropolitan Leo of Novgorod and Old Russia, on this day in all churches and monasteries of the Novgorod diocese, memorial services will be held for the murdered and deceased victims of political repression of the Soviet period of history.
