09/26/2026 Metropolitan Joseph performed the Rite of the Exaltation of the Cross in the Assumption Cathedraltranslated

On September 26, on the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated an all-night vigil in the Assumption Cathedral of the city of Ivanovo. After great doxology, the Cross was carried out, after which the Rite of Exaltation took place.

Concelebrating with the Bishop were Hegumen Vitaly (Utkin), Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), Hieromonk Feofan (Naumov), Priest Mikhail Kupriyanov, Priest Sergius Vityazev, Priest Georgy Alekseev, Hierodeacon Avksentiy (Fokin), Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko) and Deacon Alexander Lityaev

The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev).

The proverbs were read by reader Alexander Silaev, the six psalms by Pavel Romashenko.

The subdeaconates were Reader Ilya Novikov, Philip Rusieshvili, Pavel Romashenko and Nikolai Kalinkin.
