On September 21, on the feast of the Nativity of our Most Holy Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo. During the service, the archpastor performed the priestly ordination of Deacon Sergius Vityazev.

Concelebrating with the Bishop was the secretary of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocesan Administration, Priest Georgy Vityazev, Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev), Hegumen Vitaly (Utkin), Priest Dimitri Lunin, Priest Roman Mirov, Priest John Yashin, Hieromonk Feofan (Naumov), Priest Mikhail Kupriyanov, Priest Georgy Alekseev, Protodeacon Pavel Konik, Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko), Deacon Sergiy Arkhutich, Deacon Grigory Privalov and Deacon Alexander Lityaev.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's male choir under the direction of Deacon Kirill Shtanin.

The Apostle was read by Deacon Sergius Arhutich, the Gospel was read by Protodeacon Pavel Konik.
