Le 21 juillet, en la fête de l'icône de Kazan de la Très Sainte Théotokos, le métropolite Joseph d'Ivanovo-Voznessensk et Vichuga a célébré la Divine Liturgie dans l'église de Kazan, ville d'Ivanovo. Ensuite, un service de prière a été servi et une procession de croix a été organisée autour de l’église.

Le secrétaire de l'administration diocésaine d'Ivanovo-Voznessensk, le prêtre Georgy Vityazev, le recteur de l'église de Kazan, l'archiprêtre Alexandre Sorokin, le protodiacre Pavel Konik et le hiérodiacre Andrey (Datsko) ont concélébré avec l'évêque.

Slavă Domnului pentru această sărbătoare frumoasă! Mi-a plăcut că au făcut și procesiunea în jurul bisericii după moliftă, așa cum obișnuiam și noi la noi în parohie. Părintele Alexandru Sorokin e un om harnic, îl știu din relatări vechi.

Yeah, same order here in Chicago too — moleben right into the procession keeps the flow smooth. We usually get a solid crowd for Kazan, especially if the weather holds. Did Father Alexander mention how many came out in Ivanovo?

Our parish here in Wichita usually does the moleben and procession in that same order too — it does keep things moving nicely. I wonder if they had any special singing from the choir this year; ours always adds a lot when we celebrate Kazan. How big is your turnout usually, Paul?

We do the same order here too — moleben right after Liturgy keeps everyone together before the heat builds up. Our choir sang the troparion and the special “O Lady, receive the prayers of Thy servants” during the procession; it always lifts the whole thing. How many usually turn out in Wichita?
