COMPLETION OF THE CATECHETICAL PROJECT FOR THE CHURCH YEAR 2025-2026translated

With feelings of joy and gratitude, the meetings of the Catechetical Project of the Holy Metropolis of Derka were completed this year, sealing a beautiful and creative year full of knowledge, spiritual experiences and pleasant moments.

During the year, the students had the opportunity to get to know better our faith, the church tradition and the precious traditions of our Genus through the catechetical lessons and the various activities that took place.

A special moment was the Christmas theater performance, which took place with the blessed presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, as well as the Mayor of Makrohori, Ms. Ayşegül Ovalıoğlu.

Also, the students participated in an educational trip to the beautiful and special land of Thrace, where they stayed in the camps of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis and had the opportunity to get to know its history and traditions up close and to visit its churches and monasteries.
