Hieromonk Panteleimon (1944-2026)translated

On the 29th (old calendar) of June (12.7.2026) a prominent Saint figure, the chosen Hieromonk and spiritual of the Holy Monastery of Dionysios Panteleimon, went to the Lord. I think this fact bankrupts not only the Monastery of his penitence, but also the entire Mount Athos. The deceased was the offspring of holy parents. His origin was from a mountain village in Northern Greece, called Seli. His parents got married just before World War II! The father's name was Georgios and the mother's name was Despina. During World War II, he fought and experienced the victory and temporary freedom of Northern Epirus. After the war of 40 the family moved to Verroia, where the children studied in Secondary Education. God gave them four children, Aphrodite, Mary, Nikon (later Jerome Panteleimon) and Sterion.
