On September 19, on the Forefeast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the eve of the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of St. John, Archbishop of Novgorod, St. Macarius of Optina, St. Alexander Peresvet and Andrei Oslyabi, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated an all-night vigil in the Assumption Cathedral of the city of Ivanovo. In the church during the service there was an icon with part of the relics of St. John, Archbishop of Novgorod.

Concelebrating with the Bishop were Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev), Abbot Vitaly (Utkin), Priest Mikhail Kupriyanov, Hieromonk Feofan (Naumov), Priest Georgy Alekseev, Protodeacon Pavel Konik, Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko) and Deacon Alexander Lityaev.

The Six Psalms were read by Philip Rusieshvili.

The service of hymns was performed by the bishop's male choir under the direction of Deacon Kirill Shtanin.

Subdeacons were Deacon Sergius Vityazev, Philip Rusieshvili, Nikolai Kalinkin and Roman Tretyak.
