On July 16, on the day of remembrance of St. Philip, Metropolitan of Moscow, St. Basil, the first bishop of Ryazan, and the 35th anniversary of his monastic tonsure, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo.
Metropolitan Joseph read a prayer for Holy Rus' and led the praise.
Concelebrating with the Bishop was Hegumen Vitaly (Utkin), Hieromonk Macarius (Markish) and Hierodeacon Varnava (Laguta).
The apostle was read by Hierodeacon Andrei (Datsko).
The Gospel was read by Hierodeacon Barnabas (Laguta).
The liturgical chants were performed by Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev) and reader Alexander Silaev.
The subdeacons were reader Ilya Novikov, hierodeacon Andrei Datsko and Andrei Filippov.
