On August 15, in the village of Aleksino, Savinsky district, the missionary festival “Aleksinsky Meetings” took place, organized by the administration of the Savinsky municipal district in collaboration with the Savinsky deanery of the Shuya diocese. The holiday brought together guests from different parts of the Ivanovo region and became evidence of a keen interest in the history and spiritual heritage of the Savinsky land.

The village of Aleksino is inextricably linked with the name of the holy noble prince Theodore of Starodubsky, who lived around 1280–1330. Since ancient times, it was part of the ancient Starodub principality. And to this day the holy relics of the blessed Prince Theodore remain hidden here.
