This passage always makes me reflect: to love God "with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength" — it's not just an emotion; one really has to put the mind into it. At our parish in Lyon, we often read this verse before the liturgy, and each time I think that my Saturday morning gardening also counts if I do it thinking of Him. Thank you for the reminder from the calendar.
